5 Mockingbird Apartments (formerly known as The Phoenix Midtown) is a celebrated landmark Dallas property, acquired by SPI Advisory, LLC & its syndicated partners on November 19, 2020.
SPI Advisory’s restoration of the infamous art-deco murals at 5 Mockingbird during the Summer of 2020.
Built in 1998, on the site of Dallas' historic Dr. Pepper Factory, the 449-unit apartment complex has a longstanding cultural significance to Dallas residents. When the previous owner painted over the old art-deco murals that paid homage to the history of the site, upon acquisition, SPI immediately set out to restore them and bring back life to the community. SPI commissioned the original muralists to restore the murals. The renovation project began in Summer 2021 and finished late November that year.
